I ran into the same thing too.  It doesn't register Pietro as part of the party and won't let me leave Ravalts house to go train

I downloaded the updated version and it worked now! Thank you for your quick response/fix!

Love the game so far but I cant seem to progress past the second(southern) Ogre camp.  I am able to enter it but no event starts and I just walk through the NPC Ogres without being able to talk to them or initiate a battle.  Am I doing something wrong?
